A new environmentally friendly and safe product for cold storage passageways

To address the industry challenge of significant cold loss when cold storage doors are opened, Gude Door Industry has developed PVC Impact-Resistant Free Swing Doors (also known as PVC Free Swing Doors, Flexible Cold Storage Doors, Soft Impact Doors, etc.) through extensive research and experiments.  These doors are new eco-friendly and safe products, suitable for cold chain, industrial and other scenarios.

The core materials of the door are carefully selected. The door curtain is made of flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) rolls and sheets produced by Atof (France). This material is synthesized from PVC, plasticizers and various additives, specially designed for door curtain manufacturing. It has excellent low-temperature resistance—even at an extreme low temperature of -70℃, it remains flexible without deformation or cracking, and can meet the needs of regular working environments at -40℃.

The door frame structure is sturdy and durable: the outer door frame and all hardware parts are made of 304 stainless steel, which is rust-proof and corrosion-resistant; the inner door frame is made of special aluminum alloy profiles, with an acid-sand oxidized surface treatment and a thickness of 5.0mm, combining aesthetics and strength.  Neoprene rubber sealing and waterproof strips are installed around the door to ensure the airtightness of the door opening and reduce temperature exchange. Meanwhile, the door is equipped with a professionally developed precision return spring system, using imported piano wire torsion springs to ensure that the door can accurately return to its original position automatically after being opened by impact.

The product is available in three models to meet the size requirements of different scenarios: the Lightweight Free Swing Door uses 3mm-thick PVC, suitable for openings with a maximum width of 1.5 meters and a maximum height of 2.5 meters; the Medium Free Swing Door comes in two thicknesses—7mm and 10mm (the 7mm model is suitable for openings with a maximum width of 2.5 meters and a maximum height of 3 meters, while the 10mm model is for openings with a maximum width of 3 meters and a maximum height of 3.5 meters); the Heavy-Duty Free Swing Door uses 10mm-thick PVC, suitable for openings with a maximum width of 3 meters and a maximum height of 4 meters.

This PVC Impact-Resistant Free Swing Door also has multiple excellent performances: it has a remarkable heat insulation effect, which can stabilize the space temperature;  combined with the sealing strips, it reduces cold loss, lowers the operating frequency of refrigerators, and saves electricity by up to 50%. It has good sound insulation, which can reduce noise spread and improve the comfort of the workplace. It does not generate static electricity when rubbed, making it suitable for factories where static is strictly prohibited. With a simple and reasonable structure, it has a concise and lightweight appearance, is easy to clean and maintain, resistant to impact, and has a long service life. No electricity is required—the door opens gently and closes automatically after being hit by a forklift, so the forklift driver does not need to get off to operate, greatly improving work efficiency. It is widely used in cold storage, factories, supermarkets, clean rooms, welding workshops and other places to realize functions such as isolation and passage access.
